Green Marine AS started operations in 2004 and has since been the partner in environmental services for most shipping and maritime companies operating in Estonia. We are the leading waste management company in this field in Estonia. We have developed a business model in which a vessel receives a comprehensive waste management service according to its needs. In recent years we have also been providing environmental services to other business clients. The company’s employees have long-standing experience, and training is organised for them every year to ensure a high-quality service for our partners.

Green Marine is guided in its work by high quality and environmental standards and the objectives that follow from them. For this reason, we have applied the ISO 14001 environmental and ISO 9001 quality management standards in the company since 2015. In accordance with environmental legislation, the company holds the environmental permits required for its operations.

The management board’s standing priorities are the continued development of the company’s sustainability and the continuous improvement of its environmental performance, building cooperation with existing and new clients, and raising the company’s technological capability.

For the years ahead, the company has prepared projects for carrying out the green transition, which are to ensure — by finding the best solutions for waste management — that the ambitious circular economy targets set for it are met. Through our environmental work we ensure the company’s long-term sustainability and a competitive advantage in our field of activity.

Implementing an environmental management system in accordance with the European Union’s EMAS Regulation (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) is the next step in developing our environmental performance and in preventing and reducing the environmental impact arising from our activities.
