In June, a large-scale joint pollution response exercise took place at the Port of Muuga in cooperation with the Port of Tallinn, the Estonian Navy, the Estonian State Fleet, and partners from Finland and Sweden. According to the exercise scenario, heavy fuel oil spilled into the sea as a result of a collision between two ships, and the pollution threatened the port’s waters.

Green Marine took part in the exercise, offering an alternative solution for receiving the collected pollution and assisting in its clean-up. During the exercise, the participants practised deploying containment booms, maintaining communication and acting in critical situations. The exercise provided valuable experience for cooperation in responding to major accidents and for organising pollution response more effectively.
